The Jujutsu Kaisen manga has now sold more than 8.8 million copies with the release of Volume 19 of the series this month. The latest instalment in the series has become only the third tankobon volume released in the fiscal year of 2022 to have surpassed 1.5 million copies in sales this year. Volume 19 of Jujutsu Kaisen has further solidified the manga’s position as the Top Selling Manga Series of 2022, having sold more than 1.547 million copies in just 21 days surpassing One Piece Volume 102 which is yet to cross the 1.5 million mark and has sold 1.491 million copies in the same time frame.
Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 18, which was released in December 2021 is currently the Best Selling Manga Volume for the fiscal year of 2022 with more than 1.92 million copies sold.
Jujutsu Kaisen has also notably sold over 5.25 million copies in backlogs this year with the help of the boost in sales the series has gotten ever since the release of the prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, continuing its incredibly consistent run from 2021.
The movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, has been a huge success and is already the 9th Highest-Grossing Japanese Movie Ever at the Domestic Box Office making over 13.4 Billion Yen.
The film is now also out in North America, where it has made over $31 million so far after more than a month on the big screen making it the fourth highest-grossing anime film ever at the American Box Office. Additionally, the film has also made $1.6 million in the UK and $4 million in France since its release last month.
The movie has now crossed over $170 million at the global box office, and the Second Season of the anime is currently in production at MAPPA and is scheduled to come out in 2023.

Tokyo Revengers, which had been at the top of the Oricon Monthly Charts for six consecutive months prior to January returned to the first spot once again with the release of Volume 26 of the series in February and went on to also top the Monthly Oricon Charts again in March.
Volume 26 of the series has already sold 959,000 copies as of April 24, while Volume 27 debuted last week on Oricon Weekly, and has sold over 627,000 copies already within the first two weeks.
Tokyo Revengers Volume 25, which was released in December, remains the Best-Selling Volume of the year so far for the manga and has sold over 1.05 million copies as of March.
The manga is currently in its final arc on Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine.
One Piece sits comfortably at the third spot for now with the release of Volume 102 of the series this month, although SPY x FAMILY surpassing it next month seems imminent. The series has sold over 1.6 million copies in April including backlogs.
The previous volume of One Piece was released in December where it sold more than 1.65 million copies and currently remains the Second Best-Selling Manga Volume for the fiscal year.
Manga Top Sellers 2022: SPY x FAMILY has surpassed Demon Slayer on Yearly Manga Sales.
With the anime off to a flying start and the release of Volume 9 of the manga series this month as well, SPY x FAMILY has now become the 4th Best-Selling Manga in Japan and has surpassed Demon Slayer in Oricon’s Yearly Manga Sales for 2022 as of April 24, selling a whopping 2.8 million copies already.
The manga series has sold over 1.7 million copies since the start of the anime while Volume 9 has now sold over 901,000 copies (+300,000 compared to the previous volume in the same time frame of 21 days).
All the previous volumes of SPY x FAMILY have ranked in Oricon Top 50 Weekly Manga Sales Chart for the last three weeks, with the very first volume now having sold more than 1.8 million copies. The series has over 17 million copies in circulation in Japan and is already one of the Top Most Best-Selling Manga Series in the country right now.
SPY x FAMILY also ranked 8th in last year’s Oricon Charts for Best-Selling Manga of 2021 selling over 4.9 million copies, so it certainly wouldn’t be a stretch to say that the series is well on its way to crossing 10 million copies in sales for 2022 by the end of this fiscal year.
Demon Slayer is currently in the fifth spot in yearly charts selling over 2.48 million copies.
Mystery to Iu Nakare is now out of the Top 5 following the conclusion of the broadcast of the immensely successful Television Drama Adaptation which premiered in January on Fuji TV.
The TV Series starring Masaki Suda scored more than 20 million viewers every week with Live+7 DVR viewing as the manga reached 15 million copies in circulation during the broadcast.
Mystery to Iu Nakare (Do Not Say Mystery) has sold over 2.4 million copies in the fiscal year of 2022. The series has also been nominated for the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize alongside Young Jump’s Oshi no Ko, JoJolion (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 8), and Kaiju No. 8 from Jump+.
My Hero Academia is currently the 7th Top-Selling Manga in Japan selling over 2.17 million copies within the first five months of this fiscal year. While Kaiju No. 8 has also continued its remarkable run and is currently in 8th place on the list following the release of its latest volume last month which has already sold over an insane 625,000 copies. The series’ estimated total for this fiscal year is now more than 1.75 million copies as it remains the only manga in the Top 10 without a TV adaptation.
Kaiju No. 8 also won the Next Manga Awards of 2021 for Best Manga (Digital Category).
Manga Top Sellers 2022: My Dress-Up Darling Volume 9 has surpassed 250,000 copies in sales.
The breakout hit of the Winter 2022 Anime Season, My Dress-Up Darling, has now sold over 1.57 million copies with the conclusion of the broadcast of the TV Anime and the release of Volume 9 of the series and is turning out to be one of the biggest rom-com of this generation.
Volume 9 debuted with a whopping 127,089 copies in its first three days even surpassing the latest volume of Kaguya-sama: Love is War, which sold over 85,000 copies in the same time frame.
The latest volume has now sold over 270,000 copies in just 31 days, achieving a very rare and incredible feat for a romance manga.
The only Romance Manga series that has managed to sell over 100,000 copies in just three days over the last couple of years aside from the former two is The Quintessential Quintuplets and Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku.
Kingdom concludes the first half of the list following the release of Volume 64 of the series in February. The latest volume of the series has sold over 615,000 copies so far, bringing the yearly total of the manga series to over 1.42 Million Copies.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is in the 11th spot with the release of Volume 20 of the series last month. The latest volume of the manga has already sold over 450,000 copies bringing the total for the series to just above 1.37 million copies for this year.
Meanwhile, Blue Lock is currently the 12th Top-Selling Manga of the fiscal year of 2022 in Japan as it continues to enjoy a solid boost in the sales of its backlogs the series has gotten since the announcement of the anime adaptation by Studio 8bit. The manga has sold over 1.35 million copies already this year.
Blue Lock Volume 18 was also released in Mid-March and has gone on to sell a massive 185,000 copies within the first four weeks of its release.
With the series showing this much potential already, it would not be wrong to say that it might just even challenge Kodansha’s blockbuster hit, Tokyo Revengers.
Another notable entry in the bottom half of the list is Dr. Stone, which is in 14th place selling over 1.1 million copies within this fiscal year. Volume 24 of Dr. Stone was released in January where it sold 204,992 copies in its first month while Volume 25 of the series has sold over 215,000 copies within the same timeframe.
The manga came to an end in the Weekly Shonen Jump earlier in March and Volume 26 will be the last tankobon volume for the series.
Haikyuu!! is also in the Top 15 selling over an estimated 1.065 million copies so far. The series recently announced a bunch of upcoming projects including a new One-Shot that was released last week on Shonen Jump and features all the major cast members.
The final volume of the series was released in November 2020 while the latest season of the anime concluded in December 2020 and despite that, the series continues to have a very solid and praiseworthy run in Oricon every month. The fifth season of Haikyuu!! has not been announced yet.
Meanwhile, Attack on Titan has sold over 825,000 copies in backlogs thanks to the broadcast of Part 2 of the anime’s fourth and final season. The series is currently in 19th place on the list.
Part 2 of Attack on Titan Season 4 came to an end on April 3 with the 87th episode of the series as the anime is set to wrap up its run with a third and final part next year that will cover the remaining 9 chapters of the manga series.
Kaguya-sama: Love is War is just shy of the Top 20 but with the release of Volume 25 last month and the return of the anime with its third season this month, the manga has sold over an estimated 700,000 copies during this fiscal year. The latest volume of the series has sold over 225,000 copies after its fourth weekend on the shelves.
Some other notable manga which have been popular this month includes, Black Clover, as Volume 32 of the series has sold over 140,000 copies in the first three weeks, and Golden Kamuy Volume 29, which has sold more than 158,000 copies in just six days. Meanwhile, Ao Ashi series is the only manga this season apart from SPY x FAMILY which has gotten a significant boost from the anime and has sold over 150,000 copies since the broadcast of Episode 1.
