Shazam’s Anti-Vaxxer Star, Zachary Levi, Whose Career Has Been on a Downward Trajectory, Endorses Donald Trump at Rally: ‘He’s Gonna Get Us There’

The actor, who now vows to focus on faith-based projects only, claims that Hollywood is “too liberal.”

Shazam! star Zachary Levi has officially thrown his support behind Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race, making a surprise appearance at a Trump rally in Michigan on Saturday. Levi, who has recently drawn attention for his controversial opinions, took the stage to moderate a discussion between former Democratic candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and ex-Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.

Before introducing Kennedy and Gabbard, Levi explained his reasons for backing the twice-impeached former president over Vice President Kamala Harris. “I’m not going to take too much time,” Levi began, “but I want to give you a little context about why Shazam is here talking to you about these issues. I grew up in a Christian conservative household, and my parents transitioned from Kennedy Democrats to Reagan Republicans. They taught me to have a healthy distrust of government and industries that run amok.”

Levi, who had previously endorsed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for president, admitted that in an ideal world, Kennedy would still be his candidate of choice. “In a perfect world, I would vote for Bobby Kennedy, who I believe represents everything I want in a president,” Levi said. “But we don’t live in a perfect world. We live in a broken one, where our country is being hijacked by people who are driving it off a cliff.”

With Kennedy suspending his campaign and endorsing Trump, Levi made it clear he is now fully behind Trump’s bid for re-election. “Of the two choices we have—because, let’s be honest, we only have two—Donald Trump is the man who can get us there. He has the backing, wisdom, and fight of people like Robert Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard,” Levi declared to the crowd.

Kennedy, who recently ended his campaign following a series of bizarre revelations, including a claim that a parasitic worm had eaten part of his brain, joined Levi in voicing support for Trump. He was also joined by Ohio Senator JD Vance, Trump’s running mate.

Levi’s appearance at the rally adds to a growing list of controversial moments for the actor. He previously faced backlash for his criticism of the SAG-AFTRA strike and made headlines for a tweet in which he agreed that Covid-19 vaccine maker Pfizer posed “a real danger to the world.” His outspoken stance on vaccines, as well as his political endorsements, has drawn significant attention and speculation about his future in Hollywood.

Despite the controversies, Levi remains steadfast in his beliefs, claiming that Trump is the best option to restore the country to greatness. “We are here to take back this country, make it great again, and make it healthy again,” Levi proclaimed at the rally.
