We are almost done with the year 2021 and we have almost seen all the superhero offerings from the small screen this year. With the exception of Hawkeye, Peacemaker, and Doom Patrol, most of the superhero television of this year have either wrapped up their run like Superman and Lois and Loki or are almost done with their latest outings such as Titans.
This year has seen some truly spectacular superhero and comic-book offerings on the small screen across all the big league streaming services such as HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+. Even Netflix tried their luck in this larger-than-life genre although their Jupiter’s Legacy didn’t quite fare well among both the critics and the audiences.
The CW’s Arrowverse was once said to be the home for the best superhero shows on television but since the Crisis ended, they have become sloppy and more repetitive than ever. Although they still have few gems in their lineups, the amazing Superman and Lois is undoubtedly one of the best things DC has done in the past decade or so, Stargirl is brilliant, and Legends of Tomorrow is still as quirky and hilarious as it once was.
Marvel has managed to live up to the hype and expectations of the MCU fans around the world with the whimsical WandaVision, the character-driven The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, the mischievous Loki, and now with the very exciting What If.
What If has delivered some very thrilling stories from across the Marvel multiverse and it has truly been a treat for fans to dive into this vast lore of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
And Marvel TV is not done just yet as we are about to get a holiday-themed Hawkeye series in November that also stars Hailee Steinfeld alongside Jeremy Renner. The show is also rumored to have Vincent D’onofrio’s Kingpin from the Marvel Netflix series, Daredevil, back.
Invincible on Amazon Prime was a breakout hit that featured some truly brilliant writing alongside a fabulous cast of voice actors. The show is deemed by many as the best superhero TV show of the year.

Meanwhile, even though My Hero Academia has attracted its fair share of criticism this season for a number of things. The show’s delivered a stellar batch of episodes recently from its much-awaited villain arc for the anime, My Villain Academia, offering a glimpse into the rise and stories of the members of League of Villains. It is truly an exciting time to be both a TV as well as a superhero junkie.
We are very excited to see which show prevails as our Best Superhero TV Show of 2021. Will it be the current leader Superman and Lois or will it be Invincible or My Hero Academia? Or will it be Loki? Vote for your choice for the Best Superhero TV show of the year so far below.
