07:20 PM: So, it looks like the ‘Kang’ storyline for Avengers 5 has been scrapped entirely and replaced with Doctor Doom as the apparent villain. Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr walked on stage in Hall H dressed as Doom and pulled his mask off to reveal his casting to the crowd, and they went wild! And that’s all from Marvel at this year’s SDCC. Good night!

Avengers: Doomsday, which releases in May 2026,
Avengers: Secret Wars which releases in May 2027.

07:07 PM: The Russo Brothers are now on stage to talk about their Avengers movies:
“Joe and I truly believed Endgame was end of the road for us. In the time since through a special story we have come to potentially see a road to take with you all” – Anthony Russo.
07:05 PM: Kevin Feige says the casts of Captain America: Brave New World, Fantastic Four, and Thunderbolts* will all appear in the upcoming Avengers movies!
The movies are directed by the Russo Brothers, and the crowd is going wild.
06:55 PM: The Fantastic Four will be in the two Avengers movies! Russo Brothers confirmed to direct.
06:50 PM: The Fantastic Four cast is on the stage now, the movie begins filming on Tuesday.
06:45 PM: The Fantastic Four film is titled “Fantastic Four: First Steps” and is set in a “retro-future of the ‘60s.
06:37 PM: Sebastian Stan says playing Bucky for so many years is “like having nine lives” and wonders “how many are left.” He then points to Florence Pugh when asked what stands out most in THUNDERBOLTS*.
06:34 PM: The rest of the cast of THUNDERBOLTS* just arrived on stage, including Sebastian Stan, Julia Louis Dreyfus, and Florence Pugh, along with director Jake Schreier.
“Florence Pugh says ‘we had a real ride’ making Thunderbolts,” and, “Julia Louis Dreyfus says of her character: ‘She’s after power and control but also generally wants to kick ass in the Marvel universe.'”
06:33 PM: David Harbour is at Hall H, dressed as his character, The Red Guardian. He jokes, “We all said we were gonna dress up at Comic-Con.” Meanwhile, Harrison Ford is hulking out on stage.
06:25 PM: A clip from the upcoming Captain America movie has been shown, which sees Harrison Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross talking about the Celestial coming out of Earth. Next, whilst giving a speech, Ford turns into Red Hulk right in front of the White House.
06:24 PM: HARRISON FORD IS HERE! Harrison Ford has just walked onto the stage in Hall H pretending to be Red Hulk. “I’m proud to become a member of the Marvel universe. I’ve been watching fantastic actors having a good time and I wanted a piece of that,” Ford says.
06:19 PM: Giancarlo Esposito is playing the King of the Serpent Society, Sidewinder in the film. Adamantium is now confirmed.
06:15 PM: Danny Ramirez, Giancarlo Esposito, Tim Blake Nelson, and Anthony Mackie are now on stage.
06:10 PM: Kevin Feige is on the stage now as the panel opens up with a huge choir ensemble singing ‘Like a Prayer’ from Deadpool and Wolverine, and there are different Deadpool variants running around.

Currently, the architect of the MCU, Kevin Feige, is the only confirmed speaker, but the panel’s description hints at “special guests” who will provide an inside look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
