Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” Tops Billboard Global Charts for Third Consecutive Week, Linkin Park’s Comeback Single Debuts at #3

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ collaboration single, Die With a Smile, continues its dominance, securing the No. 1 spot for the third consecutive week on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts. The chart-topping duet, released just three weeks ago, debuted at No. 2 before swiftly climbing to secure the top spot.

Die with a Smile was written and produced by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars alongside Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II and Andrew Watt while James Fauntleroy provided additional songwriting.

The collaboration was a result of Mars inviting Gaga to his studio, where he had been working on new music. He presented the track in progress to her, and the duo finished writing and recording the song the same day.

The Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, launched in September 2020, rank songs based on a combination of streaming and sales data gathered from over 200 regions worldwide, as compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 chart considers global data, while the Global Excl. U.S. focuses on streams and sales outside the United States.

Chart rankings are calculated using a weighted formula that factors in official audio and video streams from both subscription-based and ad-supported services, as well as worldwide digital downloads. Notably, direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales are excluded from the calculations.
