Twitter would like to tell you heaps of things about how Eminem is “past his prime” and is “washed up”, and as a matter of fact, so will the ex-Daily Wire employee Candace Owens, who was fired by Ben Shapiro back in March. But thankfully, Twitter is not the real world, and you can always count on The Real Slim Shady to deliver.

Known to many as one of the greatest rappers of all time, Eminem’s latest release, The Death of Slim Shady, is making significant waves in the music industry as the fifteen-time Grammy-winning rapper continues to draw a massive number of listeners, showcasing his enduring commercial impact that has withstood the test of time.

Despite mixed reviews, with some critics and fans praising the album and others dismissing it as “corny,” The Death of Slim Shady is projected to achieve quite a remarkable first-week sales figure. According to Our Generation Music, the album is on track to debut atop the Billboard Hot 200 with over 300,000 copies sold in its first week, despite facing stiff competition from Taylor Swift, whose album The Tortured Poets Department has held the number one position for 11 consecutive weeks.

Earlier this week, Candace Owens, a vocal supporter of Donald Trump and critic of the Black Lives Matter movement, hit back at Eminem by calling him “Grandpa Shady” after Eminem fired shots at her in the sixth track “Lucifer” of his newly released album.

Eminem raps, “And Candace O, I ain’t mad at her. I ain’t gon’ throw the fact bitch forgot she was Black back at her, laugh at her like them crackers she’s backin’ after her back is turned.”

Continuing his rant, Eminem, 51, labelled Owens a “MAGA dirtbag in a skirt” and dubbed her with nicknames such as “Grand Wizard,” “Klandace,” and “Grand Dragon.”

Owens was quick to reply and said, “I was honored when Dave Chapelle made fun of me, because Chapelle is in his prime. Grandpa Shady is just depressing to me. Eminem should retire or evolve.”

Well, Eminem may be over 50, but there are not many rappers, regardless of their age, who can command such a large audience, and probably none who are doing it quite like him after crossing the half-a-century mark. Not so bad for a grandpa, we reckon.

If projections hold, The Death of Slim Shady will surpass first-week sales records set by major artists like Metro Boomin, Future, 21 Savage, and Yeat, cementing Eminem’s dominance nearly three decades into his career.
