This season’s Most-Watched Episode was the finale of the Swordsmith Village Arc, which scored an individual rating of 12.3% and a whopping 15.5 Million Viewers among 4.32 million households, which was on par with the viewership for the season’s premiere, which garnered similar viewership. Episode Synopsis: With Kotetsu’s guidance and training, Tanjiro learns a new ability to understand Yoriichi Type Zero’s next movements. During the training, the mechanical doll is broken by Tanjiro, revealing a sword from more than 300 years ago.
Episode 4: Thank You, Tokito – Household Viewership: 7.6% (3.89 million households), Individual Viewership: 13.96 million viewers.
Episode Synopsis: Hantengu’s head is slashed by Muichiro and he splits into two clones. Muichiro is blown away by Karaku. Tanjiro, Nezuko and Genya are stunned when the clones split into more clones. Muichiro rescues Kotetsu from a Goldfish Demon.

Episode Synopsis: When a group of Goldfish Demons attacks the Swordsmith Village, Mitsuri’s crow informs her about the attack. Mitsuri heads to the rescue of the village.

Episode Synopsis: After beheading three clones, Tanjiro stumbles upon Genya, who has beheaded Aizetsu but has now changed in appearance. Genya recalls his past.

Episode Synopsis: Genya entrusts Tanjiro with the task of beheading Hantengu. Tanjiro swings his sword at the fleeing demon, but an unknown demonic entity emerges behind him.

Episode Synopsis: As the battle with Zohakuten intensifies, Mitsuri also develops a demon slayer mark on her neck. Just like Mucihiro, the power she gains as a result is tremendous, and she’s able to overpower Zohakuten for a while.
Episode 11: A Connected Bond: Daybreak and First Light – Household Viewership: 8.4% (4.31 million households), Individual Viewership: 15.5 million viewers.
Episode Synopsis: In the finale of Demon Slayer Season 3, Tanjiro, Genya, and Nezuko chase the real body of Upper Moon 4. Tanjiro soon realizes that the difficult choices are the toughest to make, especially ones with emotion.

In comparison, the hour-long finale of Demon Slayer Season 2 was watched by almost 3 million more viewers, with the viewership just edging 18.43 million for the climax of the Entertainment District Arc.

Despite the annual loss of an estimated 20% in the average viewership from the previous season’s average, with more than 14.5 million viewers, Demon Slayer has outright remained one of the biggest TV Shows and the definitive most popular anime title in Japan. The anime adaptation for the next story arc in the series is currently in production.
