“It was hilarious,” says the actor who left Hollywood in disgrace after sexual assault allegations.
Armie Hammer, the disgraced actor best known for his role in the Oscar-winning romance Call Me By Your Name—and, more infamously, for accusations of sexual assault and alleged cannibalistic fantasies—has resurfaced with a bizarre revelation about his dating life.
On a recent episode of his Armie HammerTime podcast, the former Hollywood star shared that he once attempted to hook up with a man, explaining that he did so because, in his words, “women are the worst.”

“It was hilarious. Because I was like, you know what? Like, women are the worst.” Hammer said, before launching into a story about how he was inspired by the supposed ease of gay dating apps.
“Gay dudes seem to have it so easy. Like, so easy,” he claimed. “I’m at a restaurant, my phone blows up, and it’s, like, Grindr, and someone else is like, ‘I’m at the same restaurant. Do you want a b——- in the bathroom?’ And you’re like, ‘Hey, guys. I’ll be back in five minutes.’”
Hammer, who was accused of predatory behavior and violent fantasies toward women in 2021, went on to describe how he “gave it a try” after meeting a “handsome French man.” The encounter, however, apparently didn’t go as he had imagined.
“I remember I started making out with him. And I just remember being like, ‘God, beards. I get why women like it when you shave. This thing is f—ing rough.’”
He continued, complaining about his partner’s physicality.
“I put my arms around him, and I was like, oh my god. And these shoulders are so wide. He’s so big. Like, he’s almost my height. Like, this is so strange. And it did, physically, for me, absolutely nothing. Not even a twitch… and then I remember, like, we were making out, and it was kinda getting hotter and heavier. But I was, like, going through the motions…he reached for my d—, and I was like, ‘You’re not gonna touch my flaccid penis.’”
After deciding it wasn’t for him, Hammer admitted to calling off the encounter.

Hammer’s comments—flippant, graphic, and seemingly oblivious to the irony of him blaming women for his troubles—come after a massive downfall in his career.
The Social Network actor was effectively exiled from Hollywood after multiple women accused him of sexual assault in 2021. The allegations, which Hammer denied, included disturbing messages reportedly sent by him that referenced cannibalism, control, and non-consensual BDSM. While the Los Angeles County District Attorney ultimately declined to file criminal charges in 2023, Hammer was swiftly dropped by his agency and lost several high-profile projects, including Shotgun Wedding with Jennifer Lopez.
Despite the scandal, Hammer is mounting a return to the screen. He’s set to star in Frontier Crucible, an upcoming Western with William H. Macy, because, apparently, even in Hollywood, some reputations can be salvaged.
Meanwhile, in what might be the least surprising twist of all, Hammer has yet to acknowledge how bizarre it is that a man accused of objectifying and abusing women is now publicly lamenting how terrible they are.
