Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is here, and with all the popularity that Season 1 and the film have garnered since the premiere of the anime, the series has been racking some pretty big viewership figures.

The viewership for the series peaked during the Premature Death Arc, as Gojo’s awakening scored the anime’s biggest viewership figure yet, with more than 6.79 Million viewers tuning into Episode 4 and the episode scoring an individual rating of 5.4%.
Meanwhile, the Shibuya Incident Arc premiered with an individual rating of 5.2% as 6.55 million viewers across 4.61 million households tuned into the episode with Live and 7 days of DVR viewing. The action-packed Episode 9, Gojo’s final episode for the season, which is also the Highest-Rated Episode of the series on IMDb now, scored an impressive 6.29 million viewers across 4.41 Million Households with an individual rating of 5% across Live+7 Days of DVR viewing.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has been posting solid figures on broadcast television. The anime has been averaging 6.3 Million viewers during the first nine episodes of the season, figures which makes it the Second Most-Watched Anime on TV during Summer, only second to the beloved and long-running primetime show, Sazae-san.
The Jujutsu Kaisen Anime has been a massive hit since it premiered in October 2020, with manga sales skyrocketing to 30 million for the fiscal year of 2021 and the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie grossing an estimated $200 million worldwide. Episode Synopsis: Year 2006. Sorceress Utahime and Mei Mei are investigating a Western-style mansion that has a history. Suddenly, the building begins to collapse and they are thrown into the air.
Episode 2: Hidden Inventory Part 2 – Household Viewership: 8.9% (4.56 million households), Individual Viewership: 6.67 million viewers.
Episode Synopsis: Gojo and Geto are assigned the task of guarding and erasing a “Star Plasma Vessel” Riko Amanai, when two groups try to get rid of her.
Episode 3: Hidden Inventory Part 3 – Household Viewership: 8.4% (4.31 million households), Individual Viewership: 6.42 million viewers.
Episode Synopsis: Gojo, Geto and Amanai rescue Kuroi. They then set off together to the island of Okinawa. However, back in Tokyo, the group is ambushed by Toji Fushiguro, who has only one goal – to prevent the fusion of Riko Amanai and Tengen.
Episode 4: Hidden Inventory Part 4 – Household Viewership: 8.7% (4.47 million households), Individual Viewership: 6.79 million viewers.
Episode Synopsis: “Let’s go home, Riko-chan.” The moment Geto extends a hand to Amanai, the worst that could possibly happen does. Geto is left dumbstruck as Toji Fushiguro makes his appearance. Toji then declares that he killed Satoru Gojo.

Episode 5: Premature Death – Household Viewership: 8.7% (4.46 million households), Individual Viewership: 6.54 million viewers.
Episode Synopsis: Gojo becomes the strongest and starts handling missions alone. Geto feels lost while tirelessly exorcising and absorbing cursed spirits until another sorcerer appears, spreading her ideology on Geto.
Episode 6: It’s Like That – Household Viewership: 9.3% (4.61 million households), Individual Viewership: 6.55 million viewers.
Episode Synopsis: After finishing a mission one day, Itadori decides to go to the movies, Kugisaki decides to go shopping, and Fushiguro goes home. After parting ways, Kugisaki is approached by a woman who suddenly asks if she was with Itadori.
Episode 7: Evening Festival – Household Viewership: 8.3% (4.26 million households), Individual Viewership: 6.16 million viewers.
Episode Synopsis: The fight between Mahito and Mechamaru continues. A few days later, on October 31, 2018, an unknown curtain is cast over Shibuya. The people trapped inside repeat only one thing: “Bring Satoru Gojo.”
Episode 8: The Shibuya Incident – Household Viewership: 8% (4.1 million households), Individual Viewership: 5.79 million viewers.
Episode Synopsis: Satoru Gojo enters Shibuya. The fight between the strongest sorcerer and the most evil curses begins. Meanwhile, Yuji works with Mei Mei and Ui Ui in order to get Yuji to be Gojo’s backup as soon as possible.
Episode 9: The Shibuya Incident: Gate, Open – Household Viewership: 8.6% (4.41 million households), Individual Viewership: 6.29 million viewers.
Episode Synopsis: The battle between Gojo and the cursed spirits continues and reaches its conclusion when Kenjaku enters the scene.
