One Piece Film: Red has grossed over 2.3 Billion Yen after its first weekend at the box office, scoring the Second-Biggest Two-Day Debut of All Time for a Japanese film ever.

One Piece Film: Red has grossed over 2.3 Billion Yen in its first weekend at the box office.
One Piece Film: Red has grossed over 2.3 Billion Yen ($17 Million) in its opening weekend, marking the Second Biggest Two-Day debut for any Japanese film at the domestic box office. The film surpasses Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which made over 1.96 Billion Yen during its first two days and over 2.6 Billion Yen during the three-day weekend of its release last December.
One Piece Film: Red’s Box Office numbers are utterly impressive considering the film is not even a canon manga story, unlike Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train, which holds the record for the Biggest Film of All Time in Japan.
One Piece Film: Red will be released in North America this fall.
One Piece Film: Red was announced during the commemoration of the 1000th episode of the One Piece TV Anime and features the return of the fan-favourite, Shanks.
