No TV show of the superhero genre seems to be anywhere near the demand of My Hero Academia. The anime’s popularity and audience are more likely to keep on growing as the season has now progressed into its final arc and has switched to higher gears.
All the Top 3 spots are dominated by animated titles as Rick and Morty finishes in third place with 48.9 times more demand than the average TV series. The Top 3 do have a variety on them though, as it involves a kids cartoon, an adult animated series as well as an anime among them.
The latter half of the list sees some popular TV shows such as Stranger Things, which has always been consistent on Parrot Analytics’ list but has gotten even more of a boost now with the teaser trailer for its latest season dropping recently spiking its demand to 47 times more than an average series.
Game of Thrones also continues its consistent run at the Top 10 alongside another veteran, The Walking Dead, as both the shows have more than 45 times the demand than of an average series.
Another anime that has continuously managed to make it into Parrot Analytics’ Top 10 most in-demand TV series throughout the year is Attack on Titan, the anime enjoyed a long and extremely popular run at the top for the better part of the year and is still the 7th most popular TV series in the United States with 43.5 times more demand than any average show.
Attack on Titan was one of the very few titles to ever break over the 100+ times more demand figure during when it was on air in March.
The only other superhero TV series to break into this list is The Flash, the show which recently concluded its seventh season on The CW is 40.4 times more in-demand than the average series.
Meanwhile, long-running TV shows such as Saturday Night Live and Sesame Street have also continued to be in the Top 10.
