In a recent announcement from Shueisha, it has been revealed that Jujutsu Kaisen manga has an insane 50 million copies in circulation with just 15 volumes.
The manga’s popularity hit new heights with the pitch-perfect anime adaptation by MAPPA as the series has sold 40 million copies between October when the anime came out and now. Jujutsu Kaisen had about 10 million copies in circulation when the anime had only aired two episodes.
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga hit a new sales record by selling more than a million copies within a week of the Gojo vs Jogo fight and the series had hit 20 million after the end of the first core of the season.

The series hit 30 million three weeks after the start of its second core and by the time the anime finished airing, the series had already had 40 million copies in circulation.
And while it is not a surprise but Shueisha has also announced that Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 16 will be receiving a huge first print of 2 million copies. The manga’s fifteenth volume alone sold 1.5 million in its initial run in February.
To put it in a comparative perspective, My Hero Academia has sold 50 million copies but more than 15 million of those comes from all around the world and it has released 30 volumes so far. However you look at it, Jujutsu Kaisen’s popularity is almost in the leagues of Demon Slayer and will continue to grow when the movie comes out next year.
Jujutsu Kaisen manga’s circulation figure includes both print and digital copies, as well as copies not yet sold.
