The Demon Slayer movie, which debuted with $11.5 million in its first weekend at the American Box Office, has now grossed over $17 million in the US while tallying a total of over $40 million at 42 Sony Markets and a total of $61 million at 60 markets globally.

After debuting with an opening weekend of $4.5 million in Japan earlier in February, the film grossed over $13.6 million at its home market during its run, with an estimate of over 1.25 million tickets sold.

The “Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training” movie is making waves beyond just the USA and Japan as well, commanding attention and earning big numbers in its wake all around the globe. In South Korea, the film’s performance is nothing short of impressive, boasting a hefty $4.1 million in box office receipts with over 482,000 tickets sold.

The film has drawn big crowds across the Asian continent in general, with a combined total of $2.5 million of the movie’s box office total coming from Hong Kong and Vietnam. The film has grossed over $700,000 in India, where it posted the Second-Best Opening Figures for an Anime Movie in its debut weekend. 

The movie’s popularity is also evident in Oceania, as it drew in over $2 million in box office revenue from down under.

Moving across the European landscape, the movie’s reception is equally striking. In Spain, anime fans have turned up in numbers, with the film raking in a substantial $850,000. While across the border in France, the film’s allure is even more evident, with ticket sales translating into an impressive $1.5 million in revenue.

Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training has made $820,000 and $1.6 million on the shores of the United Kingdom and Germany, respectively, while it also made a significant sum of over $750,000 in Italy and enjoyed a very successful run all across Europe.

Latin America has been a Key Market for the Demon Slayer Franchise.

Perhaps one of the most significant markets for Demon Slayer lies in Latin America, where its appeal has been tremendously transcendent. With a cumulative box office gross surpassing $10 million, the region proved to be a stronghold for the new film’s success. Mexico, in particular, stands out with an impressive $6.5 million in box office earnings, showcasing the anime’s undeniable impact on audiences worldwide.

Demon Slayer has been a cultural phenomenon domestically for quite some time now, but the continued success of the anime and its coadjacent theatrical outings have been further proof of just how big of a global brand this series is and, with time, going into its final arc, the hype and recognition surrounding the series is only getting bigger and louder.
